Would you like to grow cutting garden flowers of your very own ? I will be running a workshop for you and show you all the different seeds and corms to sow this time of year ready for next years flower displays so you can enjoy going to your garden and snipping your own flowers from your own cutting garden.
We will start with Anemones and Rununculus for your spring tables and i will tell you all about the corms and how to get them going and how to care for them to see them in bloom then how to care for them in future years.
After we have planted some spring corms we will look at and move onto spring and summer seeding and each person will be able to sown a couple of large cell tray with a generous amount of seed covering 27 different types of flowers it will be likely that you will go home with a couple of hundred sown plugs as a pinch could have a more than enough seeds to make your garden blooming. You will need space at home to hold your tray of seeds that has access to light and attention from you for watering, and then as the seedlings grow on you will need space to pot on and finally plant out into your garden. Many of the seeds we will be sowing will always make an appearance in your country cottage garden look and you will always have them.
Once we have sown the seeds we will walk the meadow and forage and collect more seed for you to experiment at home with direct sowing or just growing on as we have in the workshop.
