Would you like to grow cutting garden flowers of your very own ? I will be running a workshop for you and show you all the different seeds and corms to sow this time of year ready for next years flower displays so you can enjoy going to your garden and snipping your own flowers from your own cutting garden.

First we will have a seed forage around the meadow finding all those seed heads as there is nothing more powerful than fresh seed for great germination. You will be given little seed savers to label as you will have lots of seeds to take home and sow again for another year or just to increase your stock of flowers. Some of the seeds we will sown straight away and others i will give you instructions for spring or stratification before sowing.
We will go through lots of seeds to be sown in autumn to give you the spring and summer display you are looking for with everybody getting a generous amount of seed to create lots of plugs and plants covering lots of different flowers to help your garden bloom

You will need space at home to hold your tray of seeds like a cold greenhouse or conservatory that has access to light and attention from you for watering, and then as the seedlings grow on you will need space to pot these on and finally plant out into your garden in May. Many of the seeds we will be sowing will always make an appearance in your country cottage garden look and you will always have them for future years.

At the end of this session you will be given a vase to keep and snips and you can go round my cutting meadow and fill the vase for you to take home and enjoy until you can grow your very own cutting flowers.
